I’m Betsy. I live in the Palisades with my family, and I go to school at NCS.
I’ve grown up around animals and around younger children, and I’ve always been the one who remembers the things everyone else forgets — the plants that need water, the dog that needs letting out, the post stacking up on the porch when nobody is home.
So I started doing it for neighbours. I’m close by, I know the streets, and I can usually be there the same day.
What you can count on
- On time. I turn up when I said I would. If something changes, I tell you as early as I can.
- Your routine, exactly. Same food, same times, same bedtimes — not my version of them.
- Proof. A photo or a short message after every visit, so you are not left wondering.
- Local. Near enough that if something needs a second look, I can go back the same day.
- Careful in your home. Gates shut, lights as you left them, nothing out of place.
Pets especially
I know how much trust it takes to hand over a key and ask someone to look after an animal. I stay for a while rather than just tipping food into a bowl, and if anything seems wrong you hear from me straight away.
If you would like to talk to other families in the neighbourhood first, ask and I will put you in touch.
